“Oh yeah. My parents were okay with it.. and sponged off it a tad. ” She gave a nervous chuckle. In truth her mom had never really been comfortable with it, at least until it was clear that no, she was not going to be a flash in the pan and crash and burn horribly.
“Wow…. and they even let you dye your hair pink, huh? Or was that crossing the line?” Alison questioned, trying to keep the question away from being accepted by parents–her father had practically disowned her when she said she was going to be a singer, her mother had left when she was one so she really didn’t have any say in the discussion.
