“Jubes.” Alison whispered harshly, trying to nudge her with her shoulder. What the hell had happened–last thing she could remember was going out drinking and seeing this really freaky person and then, blank. Not knowing stuff was Alison’s forte, but this was just creepy. She hit Jubilee once more, trying to get her to wake up so they could bust out and kick some butt while doing it. With a final nudge, Jubilee woke up, somewhat confused too.
“Can you break out of the chains?” Alison whispered, trying not to alert anyone that she was conscious. She could see Jubilee hesitate for a moment before flexing her muscles, the slightly rusted cuffs breaking under the force. So much for a super cool super villain, with surprising ease, Jubilee broke the cuffs that held Alison at bay. “Thanks.” She muttered quickly rubbing her sore wrists, “Now how do we get out of here?” She questioned, mostly to herself. Who was dumb enough to mark out an exit path? Unfortunately not this creep who locked them up, she presumed it was either some sort of weird anti-mutant clan, or a police station that suffered some serious budget cuts.
Ali pushed herself up until she was resting on her knee’s, not really caring how grimy they were getting. She looked towards the door, the hinges seemed to have rusted off, which made escaping even easier. Motioning for Jubilee to follow her, she began making her way towards the door–being careful to absorb every sound they made so that no one would hear–that would probably also come in handy later if they ever happened to get into a fight.
With a simple tap from Jubilee (which was pretty much like someone punching an item for a normal person) the door fell flat against the concrete floor without making as much as a whisper. “Where to from here?” Jubilee questioned in all seriousness. This didn’t look like a fun place at all, in fact, it looked like an insane asylum for crazed people–it also had a hint of murder world to it (though she dearly hoped that that wasn’t the case)“Up?” Alison replied with a sly smirk, it was more of a random guess, but upwards was a good way to start - or so Alison thought.
With a thought, a large photon blast went spiraling upwards, shifting through all the colours of the rainbow as it did so. She wasn’t too worried about exposing Jubilee to the harsh UV lights she could sometimes create by accident, she had her amulet thing to keep her safe–it worked rather well in her opinion. And while the sky was now clearly visible, there was the slight problem of getting up the levels, and also the fact that almost every guard was now looking at them in fright.
“You think you can handle this one, Jubes?” Alison questioned, she already knew the answer before she had even uttered the question. She didn’t doubt Jubilee nor her abilities, and some fancy light tricks weren’t going to be of much help … unless they were allergic to the sun, or fabulousness.
Shrugging the thought aside, she had barely noticed that they were now standing on top of the complex, a two story building which looked like it had strolled off of a western movie set. She turned to Jubilee to see if she had any more smart ideas, she just calmly raised her hands before announcing. “You’re the one who wanted to go drinking, you can fix this problem.”
