Carol took a book out of her dufflebag and pretended to read it, leaning against the back of the bus stop. It was the first time she’d heard This sucks bull, as usually it was bull-shit or sucks-balls, but whatever this lady said was her business. “Carol.” She aligned the spine of the book to her chin to signify it was her name.

“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Carol.” She replied with a smile, her fingers drummed against her leg impatiently. Waiting was never one of her strong spots, and she really had too much built up energy to sit still for any longer. A light glow surrounded her fingers as they hit the fabric of the jeans, a brighter flare popping up every now and again.
